The 411 of The Royal Wedding

Yesterday the royal couple got married at the Westminster Abbey (Friday, 29 Apr 2011) and as i couldnt watched it live from tv, i had to watch it on live streaming (even though it was a few minutes late haha). Ouhh teringat kembali zaman dulu2 when i was younger i had this HUGE crush on him hehehe. And i love his mother so much because i thought she was different from the other princesses. indeed she was. its a shame she couldnt be there for will's wedding.

As Will wanted to embody everything that could link to his mum, the late Diana, in his wedding to Catherine Middleton, every little detail was reminded of her - from the sapphire and diamond ring that used to be Diana's engagement ring, to the staple of Sweet William dotted with Lily of the Valley that Kate held on during her Procession, to the place (Westminster Abbey) that used to be her memorial service's place, the Bishop of London who spoke in her memorial, to the hymn that was used to conclude her memorial and funeral services, to the vows that Kate spoke resembling to that of Diana's, omitting the 'obey' word, up to the choice of photographer that took Will&Kate's engagement photo, was the same one who took Charles&Diana's.

HRH William was quoted as saying, Obviously she's not going to be around to share any of the fun and excitement of it all -- this was my way of keeping her close to it all."

Known to be very close to their mother when she was alive, it was not really surprising that the Duke of Cambridge, as granted by his grandmother, The Queen, as an early wedding gift to the couple (Kate will be known as the Duchess of Cambridge) had insisted on leaving an EMPTY seat for Diana. This shows how much the boys are very much missing their mother, and what a touching gesture that was.

Catherine, uberchic in that McQueen dress, with Pippa (sister) in matching the maid of honour's dress colour.

HRH William putting on the ring on her slim finger, which looks a tad tight. hehe

The young couple shares a private moment together. *this is when he gives her a wink!*

Prince Harry and Pippa share some good laugh, being the best man and the maid-of-honour respectively.

Both of the newly-weds stand at the entrance of the Abbey, looking very contented.

Harry entertains himself with the girls while Pippa looks on.

The royal couple rides the same carriage that transported Diana&Charles back to Buckingham Palace in '81.

Look how close he resembles the late Diana - brings back memories.

Kate's dress was inspired by this wedding gown of Grace Kelly's.

Prince William holds her hand while she steps down the carriage. Very gentleman indeed.

Beckham, seen with wife, Posh, looking very dapper indeed with his Ralph Lauren suit.

Well, well.. Joss Stone's here as well. She performed at the Diana's memorial service in 2007.

Huga huga ! It's Ian Thorpe !

Prince Philip, Pippa, Prince Harry and James Middleton share a good laugh as they witness they historic double kisses from the couple.

First portrait of the couple with the wedding attendants.

There were also some flybys done by the RAF pilots when the royal family was up on the balcony, moments after the couple had their first public kiss.
